Kanjiža is one of the most northern municipalities in the country
and, because of the new state border crossing, it rightfully bears the title "The Gate of Europe"
It is a true plain municipality with vast agricutural grounds, medicinal thermal spas of high
value, economy that puts natural wealth to use, village tourism that keep expanding, the Tisa that
blossoms every summer and hospitable, hard-working people.
Kanjiža is a Town of Silence- many have written and said this about it.
We, who live here, really know how fruitful this silence is.
It is the essence of our community: all events that promote art are rooted in it. Renowned artists, many
of whom are from this region, use it as their inspiration.
Natural wealth of our municipality and its favorable geographical positin provide excellent possibilites
for Kanjiža to become a town of tourism. Having the development of the municipality in mind, we only aim at
transforming these possibilites into capital.
The beaches on the banks of the Tisa, cafés, the Spa and other tourist facilities, a diverse cultural life, villgage
tourism- these are all the elements that enrich the life of local people and
simultaneously attract domestic and foreign tourists as well as returnee tourists.
